Manor Oaks Farm

Thanks to funding from the big Lottery Local Food Initiative 8 hectares of historic farmland has been slowly restored to productivity.

New for 2011 

Manor Oaks Farm Shop and Café which was officially opened on 23 May 2010 by Mr Ken Curran, Chair of Manor & Castle Development Trust, reopens for business after a winter refurbishment on Monday 7th March

Opening days  are Monday to Saturday 8am to 3pm (11am to 2pm Wednesdays). Drop in for breakfast, lunch or snacks. As well as delicious, affordable seasonal goodies the building is being developed as hub of information on local food, local history and lots of ways to get involved with cultural and environmental activities from the Manor Lodge Site

Pot to Plot / Mini Allotments

Mini allotments are now available on site from Spring. Click here for more information. Accessible all through the week and weekend there are also group activities and supported activities on  Friday and Saturdays from April 1st

Community Supported Agriculture

Do you want to know where your food comes from, see packaging waste reduced  and cut out  middle man costs? Then this pilot scheme may be for you. You buy a share in the farm production and every week collect your food box. Cheaper, fresher and more personal than a conventional box scheme. Click here for more information

Every Day there’s something to see or do for young children. Drop into the farm shop or Discovery Centre to check out what’s on today and where you can spot Big Lad our friendly Clydesdale and his animal Friends
