Green Roof Installation
Green Estate is an approachable and adaptable green roof installer. We will take on full management of the installation of your roof including water proofing insulation and fall protection as well as the roof greening. Or will take on projects where we our only required for the Substrate and vegetation. Our team of installers are experienced, confident and work to a very high standard. Our standard green roof system consists of:
- * Protection fleece which is loose laid over the waterproof membrane this serves two purposes to protect the waterproofing during the installation of the roof and it also help to retain moisture.
* On top of this a drainage and reservoir board is loose laid this retain some water it whilst letting excess water drain away so the roof does not waterlog.
* Over this a filter sheet is loose laid this prevent substrate washing into the drainage system
* We then lay 100mm of our growing media which is then seeded and plug planted.
We relish the opportunity to work on bespoke projects and have installed roofs in sensitive areas where only native species can be installed; we can incorporate bulbs into the planting plans and can mix bespoke substrates when required.
